Once again, Charles Schwab has partnered with the Springboro Football program to sponsor the 2012 Lift-A-Thon. Charles Schwab’s generous sponsorship allows every dollar raised by the Springboro players and coaches to go directly towards the needs of the program.
The Lift-A-Thon presented by Charles Schwab is a combination of a fundraiser, team competition, spring testing and end-of-the-school-year team pig roast.
For 2012 the Lift-A-Thon teams are coached by Sean Carnes, Mike Fisher, Brian Feeley and Rob Berger, all assistant varsity coaches. The coaches drafted the seniors with Kyle Longworth being the #1 overall pick followed by Sean Welsh, Stephan Sukola and Devon Shoopman all joining Kyle as first round draft picks by the team coaches. The seniors then drafted the rest of the team with Josh Steenbock being the #1 underclassmen selection followed by Joe Kylin, Jack Schaaf and Austin Tarantino rounding out the first round.
