February 2nd was National Signing Day for high school seniors to sign letter of intent to play football in college. Springboro High School was proud to announce that 3 seniors made their college choices on that day.
Jacob Rigg, an offensive and defensive lineman, starting at center for the Springboro Panthers chose to continue his education and play football at Walsh University in Canton, Ohio. Jacob was a captain for the Panthers last season and was named 1st Team All GWOC South and 1st Team All GWOC. Jacob started at center for Boro and is expected to be a center at Walsh.
Jeron King, a senior wide out for the Panthers also chose Walsh University as his college choice. Jeron was Special Mention All GWOC South and finished his senior season with 31 receptions for 308 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Josh Maberry also signed a commitment letter to play football at Notre Dame College of Ohio. Josh was a 2 year starter at right tackle for Springboro and was named 2nd Team All GWOC South as a senior.
